I quit drinking and smoking because I couldn't keep it in moderation. I haven't done either for over 3 months, but it is really hard right now because I have no one to talk to about it.
I want to drink until I don't feel anything anymore.

If someone won't hang around with you because they want to just get high or get drunk then they're false friends, real friends would be there for you, even if you didn't do the same things as they do... I say you should dump those people who just hang around with you because they want to do drugs or alcohol or anything else with you. They aren't sincere friends- I've had times where I haven't done weed or anything, and my stoner friends still came round to my house to have a cigarette or a glass of beer, or whatever.

I think it's kind of big for you to pull the false friends card. Just because they are out getting intoxicated doesn't mean they're false friends. Maybe they had hung out every other day that week totally sober. You can't spend every waking moment with your friends.
Also, I have a lot of friends who don't smoke, some of them are pretty much family to me. But, even though I see them all the time and have very strong friendships with them, sometimes I just need to go off and smoke a bowl.
