He's always acting like an idiot about it, making stupid comments to the younger swimmers about how I'm the example of how not to swim, and not listening to me when I give the correct answers to his questions. Stuff like that. But today he just went off on me. For the past few practices he's been changing the lanes that I swim in, once having me swim in our diving tank. So today I asked him what lane I should go in, and he blew up at me. He started screaming that he wasn't in charge of it, and how it wasn't his job. I tried to tell him that he's been telling me where to go for a while now, and I just wanted to be sure. He didn't let me say anything, just kept screaming. So I picked up my stuff, said "Screw you" and walked out. I steamed in the locker room for a bit, then took a hot shower, then called my mom. I've never walked out on a practice before. It was a bad decision, but I didn't want to deal with him yelling at me for nothing. The shitty thing is that I have to go to  another practice in a few hours. But I've decided that I just won't speak to him at all. I can't understand why he just blew up at me. He's been changing my lanes and I just wanted to make sure. Maybe he was just in a bad mood, but in the years I've known him he's never yelled at anyone like that. He's a big joker. Nothing really makes him mad.

Our assistant coach is just a lady who lets her kid run around while she gossips with the seniors. Have your parents call and arrange a meeting with the coach, and make sure you get your point across to him without being demanding and also stress that you don't want to be treated differently just because of the meeting but that it was a concern of yours that you would like him to think about. and if you don't want to do this face to face a phone conference would work just as well.
