I'm relatively new so this may have been done a thousand times but i don't really care- i'm bored.
Soooo

Which sport do you say is the most challenging/most difficult/ reqires most dedication/ is most rewarding?

My answer, filled with shameless bias is TRACK!
Track runners are some of the most self-abusive people i know.
It takes so much dedication- I went to practice every day expecting to die and i'd be so angry with myself if I went home from practice and wasn't sore the morning after.
Unfortunately track injuries have stopped me from running track- i love it nonetheless. =(

How about Triathletes?? You have to be good at three things and you have to do those three things in a row!! It takes all of it out of you and leaves you with nothing when your done!

I would say either track, swimming, or rowing. The amount of time spent training for endurance sports is ridiculous.

Rugby. I play rugby and my gosh it take a LOT of effort. You always have to train, you gotta work on tackling, obviously it's not an easy sport, I've almost broken my knee, neck, nose, wrist, and hand. We need 15 players on the field at one time so we can't afford to not have players show up.

Yes, I agree. My dad used to play rugby on the amateur circuit in New Zealand and he hates that North Americans think that football players are so tough. I mean, in an average NFL game, football players run very little. Rugby players have to run further during one game than soccer players, even. Not to mention that they don't wear any padding and that their legs are as big as my entire body, practically.

Football players are tiny little wimps compared to rugby players.

Haha. I'm 5'0 tall but I'm very muscular. I almost played football, but then we started a rugby club where I live. I didn't even know what it was til we started the club. Now I'm in love with it. lol.

Yeah, but you're a girl, so it's okay LOL. But some of the guys who play on the All Blacks (my dad's favorite team) are 6'9. The ones who are like 6'0 look small compared to the others.

Every sport is challenging and takes dedication.

I cannot believe no one mentioned basketball yet, though...I don't think you people realize how grueling those practices are.

I have to say that the most difficult sports are golf and baseball, though. It amazes me how professional golfers can accurately place a golf ball with such ease and how professional baseball players can hit 95 MPH fastballs and curveballs, sliders, changeups, etc. with the same ease.

Well we don't play those and we all have different opinions. I get the shit kicked out of me at practices so therefore I think rugby is the most challenging.

Rugby is no doubt the most physical.

Still, I have to say that the most difficult sports are golf and baseball. It amazes me how professional golfers can accurately place a golf ball with such ease and how professional baseball players can hit 95 MPH fastballs and curveballs, sliders, changeups, etc. with the same ease. Many people say that the hardest thing to do in sports is to hit a baseball, and I might be inclined to agree.

I'm thinking horse back. You have to have a lot of dedication. Balance, knowledge, and trust in your horse. You have to be in good shape to be an effective rider. Injuries are often, but you still have to be able to accept it and get back on. Not to mention all the responsibility that you have to have to take care of your animal.
beerrulz Posted at 7:50 am on July 6, 2009
horse riding. u hav 2 b strong, well balanced, know wot ur doing  while going over 6ft fences at speed knowing that one day the half a tone horse ur ridin cud fall ontop of u n kill u or u cud fall off n break sumthin or even die. takes a hell of a lot of dedication. u hav 2 really fit as well.

Any physical contact sport. Boxing takes a lot more focus, quick thinking, and strategy than people think!
