| It's fair. They are getting the short end of the stick here. You gotta wonder why they'd agree to something like that. Would you? I mean, why would you pay $100's a month for something just so someone else gets to use it. I wouldn't.. that's just a bad investment, don't you think? If I were you, I'd talk some sense into your parents and tell them to get rid of the money drain. Tell them to use that money to have a nice dinner out once a month or so. Now THAT would be fair. |

Its not your car. You are still going to need insurance. Get your own car, pay for your own insurance, then its all your decision.
I didn't ask what to do, I asked if it's fair or not, of course it'd be easier to have one's own car but that's not the easiest thing to acquire.
True. It is fair though if you are under 18. Regardless of who pays for insurance, they still have financial liability. Now, if it was your car, and you payed for everything, it would be a little out of place for them to restrict you on it.
What if you're over 18? |

| It's fair. They bought it and it's in their name. Driving your parents' car is a privilege not a right. It's theirs to offer. |

They bought it, that's why it's in their name. |

Unfortunately, parents don't always have to do what's "fair."
I know but the question is whether it's fair or not. |

| Title transfer. If your parents are logical or fair-minded at all, they won't mind doing it. |
