Okay, I'm have to pull a lot of money out of no where if I want to go to university (since I don't want to be paying back student loans until I'm 30) I want to earn a whole bunch of money before I even start university...
So, I'm seriously considering hostessing in Japan. For those of you who don't know what hostessing is, it's like rent-a-girlfriend. A whole bunch of middle-class/upper-class business men come to chat with the hostesses. All hostesses have to do is be cute, giggle and flirt with them. Hostesses aren't expected to preform sexual favors, in fact it's discouraged. The salary is great and the tips are better.

There's no other job (I can do) where could get paid $200 an hour just to be cute. If I took a gap year and went to Japan I could have enough to pay for ALL of my school by the end of the year...

It would be an easy way to earn my tuition. However, it's not exactly moral.

it's a good quick way to make money but just don't get hooked, do drugs, or be forced into anything.
they japanese men will be attracted to you and probably quite respectful but you will get some who will treat you rough.
oh yea and they will all want to sleep with you at the end of the night. it won't just be dinner and holding hands :0

Is it really that easy to get into that business? Starting off, wouldn't the pay not be very good? I imagine that it would be quite competative, and you would be faced with a lot of long-standing hostesses trying to keep you away from the money that they want.

Seems a bit too easy if you ask me. I have no moral qualms about that, but it seems like it really could be hard work to make any decent income from it.
