I have the idea of how to host but is there a tutorial I can watch? Im trying to learn how to use the table sheet correctly and direct customers to the correct table. Is there a tutorial on hosting? This is my first job.:) So I am excited

I have an IHOP as a client and they hire work release prisoners.

Have fun!

i used to be a hostess.. just ask the servers to show you the sections and
make a list like "1 2 3 4" down a piece of paper and cross them off as you seat people in each section so you go in order

I find that very unlikely that there is no training. I don't know any companies that put you out on your first day with no assistance.

They know you won't know their expectations without being told. Try reading your manual or asking a more senior employee to show you the ropes.

They will train you on how they want you to do it. Each system is different.

And congrats! I actually would live to work at IHOP, their food is so tasty!
