I was on vacation from work all last week and was camping with my Boy Scout Troop the entire time.

A customer called the bank looking for me to help them with a major problem they were having. My head teller called me and made me aware of it so I took the time to call them and get everything straight.

I get into the office this morning and have an email from my customer that says:

Thank you so much Mike. Hope you had a wonderful vacation and never doubt your value at the bank. You are an asset.

It's nice to be needed.

Oh that's sweet! A customer once asked for my boss's email because she said she wanted to send a note saying how great I was.

That was a month ago and the customer still hasn't emailed. What a tease.

Thats really sweet. I always saved emails like that i got when i was an admin assistant. It was nice relief from the often crappy work.
