I'm on my brother's Dell laptop, and my 15 month old niece has done something to the screen where when it's not plugged up to the adapter, the screen it's terribly dark.

I cannot find anything that will help with the brightness settings.  Help?

You may be on a lower power plan, try changing it to optimize, or if it's a vista computer, go to right click, personalize, settings.

You sure she did anything at all? My laptop always does that when it's unplugged.

So does mine, but I can adjust it where it's brighter.

Not on this one though
