The Bartender Posted at 7:11 pm on Oct. 18, 2008 When you reformat a computer, due to all drivers being wiped, windows tries to use generic drivers with pieces of hardware it is not familiar with. Obviously in your case this has not worked correctly and you need to obtain the correct sound drivers in order to get it working again. Here is what to do: Go to this website and download the latest sound drivers. Install these drivers like you would install any other application. Follow the wizard instructions and after, restart your computer. All 4 previous replies displayed.
