right ive installed new ram onto my old tower unit now my monitor does not display can you please help

the computer fires up and all bleeps and you can here it start up over the speakers just no image

the monitor does read the tower but just doesnt load

any help would be greatful

The beeps are telling you something, count them, and read the MB manual for a diagnosis.

The ram is probably screwed then, I suggest returning it.

im sure the old ram card in there matches thhe new cards specs

are you sure that the ram you installed isn't compatible with a different date than your monitor is used to running with?

ive got the right ram and why would i need to change the voltage?

Did you get the correct ram type?  Also I think you might have to adjust the voltages or something...

yep doesnt work ive hooked up my new one and its fine just the old one doesnt work

have you tried unplugged the monitor connection thingies from both ends and then putting them back in then restarting?
