My dad took the laptop apart to possibly fix the AC connector. Well, I think he broke it. Touching the edges will sometimes cause an electrical shock/pulse.

Any tips to help fix it besides get a new laptop?

I get this with my inspiron ever since we purchased it... Nothing to worry about.

More than likely, your going to need to have a qualified tech take a look at it, something like that is a rather serious repair.
