Well, now I did and I just want something that prints. I don't need to scan, I don't need to copy...just print. My boss has a scanner that he lets me use and my father has a huge copy machine. I do not need it. I just need a printer that prints out good quality typed things and maybe, once in a while, a few images. I stumbled upon a canon one. Good company, or should they stick to cameras?

Granted the situation has probably changed by now, but personally I'd stick to HP. I'm sure buying a Canon printer wouldn't be a mistake though, they're both great companies. I have the Canon MP830, which is overkill for what you need, but it prints 22 pages per minute, and pictures come out nicely.
