For christmas I got a Logitech MX 5500 bluetooth keyboard and mouse. The mouse has just now started to move erratically and not smooth when I'm using it. Is that what happens to bluetooth mouses when the start to go flat? My old Genus wireless one would just cutout, but it was only RF.

when I first changed them up, i could use them from the other end of the house downstairs, so the range isnt that bad. BTW I believe its the mouse expensive keyboard and mouse combo Logitech sells.

i just unplugged the USB bluetooth dongle and pluged it into a USB extension cord to move it closer to the desk, it seems to have made it better. The battery meter on the mouse shows 1 bar out of 3, so it could be going flat.

My Kensington mouse did that and it had nothing to do with batteries. Try re connecting it to the computer.
