So to make a long story short...
My laptop HD had failed so they sent me a new one and it installed perfectly fine.
My only question is that... before this happen when I opened my computer... under hard disk drives it showed two of them C and I think D perhaps? and D was maybe a 10GB one and it had like windows files on it...
Where has C didn't have much on it except my program files and what not you know...
So how can I get my D back?
It automatically installed everything on to the C HD... the C HD is a 100GB well it says 92.1GB... So where is the rest of my space at... Is it hidden or something?
Any ideas...
If you don't know then don't reply to my topic. kk thanks.
Tis not a good idea to punch a laptop. Lol.
I think you can partition your hard drive in the Windows setup (when you first install Windows, so this may not do you much good now). There's a program called Norton Partition Magic which might do what you're looking for.
The reason that your C drive says that it is 92.1 GB as opposed to 100 GB is that 100 GB is the maximum space of the drive prior to formatting. Your hard drive has since been formatted (which makes it possible to actually store files on it) and this results in a slightly smaller "useable" capacity.
