I got this error message saying that i have a dangerous virus. I've ran my Anti Virus Program 3 times now. I'm on the 4 th. And it still wont get rid of it. I tried to reformat the pc, and it wont let me boot from the cd. What the hell should i do?

The Dark Prince Posted at 8:05 am on May 1, 2008 I believe that you may need to restart your computer in Safe Mode in order to delete the virus using the Anti-Virus Program which is detecting it. To start your computer in safe Mode do the following: Windows XP If Windows XP is the only operating system installed on your computer, booting into Safe Mode with these instructions.    * If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power    * Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.    * Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.    * Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.    * Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.    * When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.
