My Macbok is so freaking slow. Just the internet part though. I constantly have to close Firefox and reopen it to try to load the page that I am trying to do.

Second, I want to download music and be able to make cds on my Mac. I dont what program I should use to download or what program to use to burn a cd, or if I can even burn cds.

Help? I am a n00b.

Im pretty sure that iTunes comes preloaded in OSX. You might want to try that.

I know but I dont want to have to pay to download.

Well, you can make CDs in iTunes, and use a torrent program to download the music.

Im not really sure what torrent program OSX users are using.

You have been tons of help, thanks a bunch.

Transmission is what cool people like myself use. Azureus works too though. There are plenty of torrent apps to choose from.

iTunes can burn MP3 CDs and Audio CDs.

If you're having Internet problems, try Safari, or if you still get the problem there, then it's most likely your Internet connection and not your Mac.
