I'm considering buying a mac PowerBook from a friend for $550.
The processer has 1.33 GHz, 1GB of memory, and the battery has 98 cycles on it for about a 300 cycle life
The drive has about 75 GB with about 41 GB left
The computer is a PowerBook G4 with a Leapard operating system

Is this a good buy for $550?

No, for $550 you could be a nice budget laptop like a Toshiba or Acer that blows it out of the water.

If that is an Intel processor that is a decent deal, if it is a PowerPC processor keep looking.

Not good that must be in old laptop

If you can only afford that, then do it, but that's not that fast and not that much space

You need to be expeienced with MAC's before you get one. That is my only warning.
