I mainly use Fedora Linux, am currently using Fedora 10, will probably wait for Fedora 12 before upgrading.

I also use Windows XP for my gaming box.

I use Windows 7 mainly. I have used a few Linux distributions in the recent past but I haven't use them for every day use, may be sometime in the future.

Meh, I just remember an article about how Windows feared Linux as a competitor more than Mac for just the reason it was growing so quickly with netbook usage.

Regardless, I still think that splitting up tons of options for new iterations of the same system is silly when compared with the much more varied linux distros :P

Arguably, 6 of those options could be collapsed into one catch-all Unix option.
bighead1991 Posted at 4:28 am on May 3, 2009
I was going off figures on http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp ; I generally use that, I see it to be most accurate.

Windows 7 is not even out to public use yet, so can not compete in this poll. You have also given Snow Leopard in the poll of options.

Windows has a market share of above 90%, yet you put MacOSX with more options than Windows?

Just because a poll has 10 options you don't have to fill it with useless crap.

Yeah, I'm with Sam on this, you made a bit of a mess of it. Windows XP still holds the biggest market share, it should not be in a catch all group.

OS 10.4 or 140.5 and OSX Snow leopard would have done.

I got asked by a mod if I updated it to separate 10.4 and 10.5 so you can pound salt.

Ah yes, a mod, that means it was instantly right...

I hate that you have restricted this poll by having so many options for OSX, should have less in my opinion, better to group it together. Then more options for Linux too.

 More people OSX than Linux

But Linux is better.

You can argue that all day but the percent of people that use linux is to small to matter.

Not really, I'm fairly sure Linux not too long ago passed Mac OSX. So, to argue that variations on basically the same operating system which doesn't even have the larger market share deserves more attention than the much more varied Linux distros is.. well, ridiculous.

Anyway, I use Ubuntu on both my computers currently, largely for convenience sake. I formerly had Arch Linux, which I prefer for its sheer customizability, but currently I don't have a lot of time to play with my computer configurations so Ubuntu is easily managed.

To all of you arguing this here you go Stats

Also  Here

Windows 87.9
Mac 9.73
Linux 1.02

So as I said before pound salt.
