Basically i have taken my Mac back to OSX after it's time as an Ubuntu machine and I'm looking at getting it working just how i would like. I want your suggestions for the best free Mac software out there.
It doesn't have to be open-source, although always nice.
These can be productivity apps, music editing, web browsers, whatever.
Hopefully if we get enough this could turn into a nice little list for Mac users.

I use Camino browser sometimes. - Google Earth - Alarm Clock - Yep, thats the name of it. Its a really cool program that plays music at a time you set and even wakes your Mac up from sleep. I use it as my primary alarm clock. - Frostwire for Music downloading What version of OS X do you use?
What version of OS X do you use?
I'm on 10.4, and if this list is every going to be any good, i would expect all the apps to be 10.4 and above and available as a universal binary.
Thanks for your suggestions so far though, hadn't heard of a couple of those.
That's basically the list of free software I use on my Mac. I rarely use stuff you have to pay for if there's a good alternative, and OS X is pretty good for having little apps for certain uses. I definitely recommend Growl, as it works with loads of apps. By no means a definitive list, I'll add more if I come to think of them.
