My Sims game keeps going to the "load" screen, although it's blank blue and never loads anything.  It never did this before, only lately.

Anyway, I cleared out all the downloaded objects in my game by going to the downloads file and deleting it all.  Will that make my game go even more wonky on me?  Or will it ONLY have the same reaction it always does when an object is deleted and make the stuff unusable so you have to refurnish your whole house & buy new clothes?

Have you installed the latest patch?

Yeah, like just a couple weeks ago.

how long have you left the screen?

cos sometimes when i first install an expansion pack it takes ages to load..

are u sure you havn't installed anything recently to do with the sims? like custom content or expansion packs etc

A good 10 minutes once until I finally took the disc out and restarted the computer.

And no, nothing I haven't installed before that's worked fine.  And the last time I installed a game was back in May.

I really have no clue why it's happening either.  I've had the sims games forever and this is the first time it's ever acted this way on me.

IDK, hopefully I can get my games back from my sisters and reinstall it all which is what I wanted to do in the first place.

did you download custom content and then from there it started doing that????

the most likly way to make it working again would be to re-install it

I installed the stuff a long while back, and it's only recently been acting up like this....and I would uninstall and reinstall it all now, but me and my two sisters who don't live with me share the games among us so I don't have them all right now (not event he first one).

wow that sucks.. hmm well if you downloaded them a while ago i don't see why it's doing that..

i don't know of a virus or anything which would stop the sims2 from working..

ermm i don't know what to suggest really except reinstall...

I think eventually The Sims just becomes too much for any computer to handle.

When i put downloads and cheats on my sims game it slowed it down, so i think if you put too many downloads in the game it will have an impact on gameplay, could be whats causing it.
