I've been told a need to make three flyers, a quarter page, a half page and a full page one.

Pixel wise, what are the dimensions for each so that when printed, the size is correct?

50 points for an answer that's useful. ;)

Just edit the print size (using inches) and make it a slightly higher dpi

you can edit the print size as well as the pixels

Yep. Just make it slightly bigger and then worry about your print size when you go to print it (you should be able to fix the print sizes then through your printer settings).
