IT's incredible if you know how to use it. Once you get all the details down, and the basics and intermediate you can start with basic site enhancement. YOu might want to take a class on Advanced flash once you finish the basics, because it gets kinda hard to learn on a web site if you don't have anyone to help you along. WigAOK9 Posted at 5:07 pm on Dec. 1, 2004 I have the Macromedia Studio which includes Macromedia Flash MX 2004.  As others have said, it is a little tricky to learn and takes a LONG time to get good at it.  I wouldn't buy it unless you are serious about it.  I also wouldn't get any of those other programs that make flash files because you will not be able to make the quality stuff you want.  As an example: I made my movie website, http://mistmovie.com , from flash and it took weeks and weeks of hair pulling and going crazy to get what I wanted.  There are still many things I would like to know how to do in flash. If you plan on buying it to make more professional sites, plan on making money. It will take alot of time and effort to make the 'cool' things you see.  Once you spend the money and spend some more on a class or two you should be up and ready to make some pretty neat stuff.
