my dad showed me this site... he used it when he bought a camera, and now i am using it to figure out the camcorder i should buy...
the reviews on it are really good and unbiased... and there are really good search-y things (sorry--no better way to describe it!). It is awesome, and has proved to be very helpful. they have both critics and users reviewing.
don't use the manufacturers information.. it is usually really biased!!
Quote: from PS2luvr at 1:31 pm on Mar. 22, 2008 oh, i forgot to tell you, anything with a sensor over 5 megapixels is unnecessary, really, becasue the sensor is teh same size, they're just cramming more pixels into that size and image quality is lost...ask how big the sensor is...chances are it will not be bigger than 512 pixels...and even that's a large sensor. And really, you wont even need more than 5 MP unless you're making prints larger than 10x12 then you can start looking into stuff like the D80 or D200 (Nikon) Also, you should of mentioned zoom. You want more optical, then digital zoom.

QFT!!! thank you, imakethetest66, he's absolutely right, digital zoom is nearly worthless...all it does is double pixels which makes for fuzzy, ucky looking pictures...
