If I buy a Razr, from t-mobile, do some modding, void the warranty, but then decide I want a new one, so I restore to factory settings, will they know?

is my warranty reinstated?

What sort of modding? Is it something to compare against using non-brand specific ink in printers, and not telling the company that supports the product that you used a different brand ink?
I also think you should check your warrenty conditions.
