I have what is now called a 30gb iPod "Classic", but it was an iPod Video when I bought it.

Well, I've been watching various anime on it, and I recently came across an issue:

Code Geass R2 cannot be played on my iPod.
R1 works just fine.

Why can I not play the second season?

I copied all of the info from iTunes for each of them, in case it helps:

R1:

R2:

Is it the dimensions, or what?

It might be the resolution, because of the iPod video screen. I have the same iPod and iTouch, but never watched anime on the iPod video, so I don't know if that could be it, cuz with the iTouch, the screen can fit wide screen and more square screens. Do you download it in mp4 format or download another format then convert it? Because I usually download all my anime in .avi format then convert to iPod format.
I downloaded it as an mp4.

I also tried convering it to mp4 as well, that changed nothing.

Right click on it in the video window. It should have a make playable on iPhone/iPod.
I cannot seem to find that option anywhere.

The resolution of the R2 might be too high for the iPod to play it, there are size constraints, but I don't remember 280 x 272 being referred to as too high.
How do I fix that?

Has your iPod been updated so it has the latest firmware?

And what exactly is so funny about that question?

carelesmind Posted at 11:42 am on July 2, 2009
i cant see why... i think it would be the bit rate, most difference...
