I will be getting along with the student discount a student gift card totaling $253. I am going to buy a monitor with it and was looking for any insight as to what PC gamers use. The gift card is strictly to Dell so anyone with experience with Dell please post. Looking for around a 20" monitor around the price range of the gift card. Best quality for the price please.

That monitor's not too bad, yea. Personally I'd forget about going for a high quality monitor (but then my eyesight's poor so I struggle to notice a difference) and just get 2 of those.

That's not a bad looking LED monitor and it got some pretty decent reviews, although it seems like it's more toward the lower end. I would aim for something a little bit higher that's a tad nicer, but it all depends on what you'll actually be doing with it. Are you actually gaming or just looking for a good quality monitor?
Both.

I actually wouldn't have suggested a Dell monitor... where do you have to buy the monitor from? An actual store? Online? You ought to be able to get a pretty good monitor for that. I got a 23" 1080p Acer monitor for $160 that I've had for almost two years now, and it's absolutely fantastic.

One thing I can definitely suggest is to avoid monitors that have things like TV tuners or speakers. You'll never use that shit and it's an unnecessary expense. That's part of how I got this amazing monitor so cheap. Otherwise, look for something with DVI/HDMI input. That'll get your highest quality video.

But without a list of options, it's hard to say what's the "best deal."

I'm assuming the gift card is to Dell's online store. How about this one?
