LAN cables look like phone cords, but slightly wider. Or if you're one of the dew unlucky ones (I'm really sorry then) who still has dialup connection... just use a phone line to plug it in. It's slightly more complicated to set up but if you have all your information, then you're alright. Otherwise, LAN cable and WiFi is pretty much "plug and play" style. As long as you can get onto the server, you should be fine. Otherwise, you can always plug in an Ethernet cord to your computer. It's no big deal. It's just like a desktop but portable.
