The main problem part about wireless and Linux is getting the drivers to work. shadowpool Posted at 4:11 pm on July 30, 2008 Is the wireless card not being recognized at all? (i.e. no blue bars on the top right of the screen indicating signal strength.) If you see two computers at the top right with a red x between them, click the computers and see if you can't choose a wireless network. If there's no option to you'll have to work on installing the drivers.  First you'll have to know which wireless card you have. If you go to Applications>Accessories>Terminal and type: lspci You'll get a list of pci devices connected to your laptop. The wireless card should be listed in there. What wireless card is it?
