Network settings says i'm connected, but my ISP cannot connect automatically. I have a cable modem btw .. no wireless internet. I clicked continue and then it says enter you client ID for DHCP. I'm guessing I don't have PPPoE because I dont remember ever given an account name for my internet.
If everything is correct, where do i find the client ID number?

You're plugging your macbook into a internet cord, correct? my advice, simply invest in a wireless router. whats the point of a laptop without one?
