| What is your service tag number? http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx Put that in, wait a bit, and look under the wireless tab for your driver. |

| What verson of linux are you using? If its ubuntu check the Ubuntu forums, chances are someone has already done what you are doing and there is a guide. |

i went there... but i dont know what card i have... i got rid of windows, and am now using debian linux 
Oh, a lot of people have trouble using wireless on linux, check nothing on your firewall is blocked? Also, can you have a look at your card at all and find out what it is? 
unfortunately, i cant and i dont think i have a firewall... lol |
