So I'm wondering, is there anyway to get the internet password without calling the company provider, or looking at the papers they were given in relation to their service. Thanks in advance.

We've had to do that before because of connection problems, but her internet remains locked.  We even tried going to through the control panel on her computer and having the password shown, but it remained just a bunch of black dots. Also, you may want to try "admin" for the username and/or the password. That's usually the default password to get into the router settings. On Windows, go to start > run > cmd (Vista, open up a command prompt by going to start > and type cmd) Then type "ipconfig /all" without quotes, and look for the default gateway. Copy it down, and type it into your internet browser. You should be able to get to the router through this. All 5 previous replies displayed.
