I'm guessing people have heard about the new measures to be rolled out by virgin media to close accounts of those downloading music.

Would me being connected to this VPN for the past year should give me pretty much anonynimity? Or at least if they do track it my ip shows that im  based in Sweden so they'll only be able to charge / prosecute under swedish law? Which is pretty lax on file sharing.

Is there THAT much difference between a VPN and proxy?

If you use it for personal things like email your anonymity could be ruined.

But I think you'll be fine.
