i just got a new laptop last night, and i made a password to get onto the account, but now i'm locked out and it won't let me on. it's calsgurl (cal is the shortened last name of my english teacher, and i can't tell my mom what i think the password is, because she'll think i'm obsessed). i KNOW for a FACT that i typed it in right when i was making it, and it makes you type it in more than once in order to make sure you know what you're typing, but now it's not working. i've tried it with caps lock on, i've tried hitting different keys. some examples of that i've been trying are:

cslagurl
csldgurl
caldgurl
calsg8rl

etc...

in case i hit a wrong key or something, but we've tried so many combos and stuff, that i don't know WHAT to do. does anyone know a way to reset a laptop, or a site that i can type in the password and it will tell me all the different possibilities of what i typed in wrong? i went back to best buy and geek squad said it would be $30 just to take the password off, and i don't have the money to do that. thanks, everyone!

create a new administrator account and just delete the old account

my account IS the administrator account. there's no other accounts on my computer. i can't get onto the account in the first place, so i can't change anything.

try all the letters next to those letters on the keyboard for example
xalgurl
dalgurl
falgurl
valgurl
algurl
also contact the people you got the laptop from.

Restart the computer in safe mode (press F8 while the computer restarts), and log on as administrator, it should have no password usually. You can then go into control panel and reset the password for your account.

Restart in safe mode and use the administrator account to change the account's password.
