I downloaded a torrent of Iron Man as a .avi file. How do I burn it to a DVDR so I can play it in my DVD player? DVDShrink is saying the file is an invalid filename and it won't let me shrink it. Any ideas?

If you want to burn it to DVD format try a program called DVDflick. It's a small app just to quickly transcode and burn dvds

Don't go by minutes, go by megabytes.  150 minutes should fit onto a regular dvd easily.  Change the video settings in Nero to adjust accordingly.  It's really nice, I have a whole dvd collection now :)

Well the problem isn't the format itself. It's that it's too big of a file for the disc.

But good idea with Nero. Completely forgot about that.

 it's too big?
i assume you mean it's too big for a cd.
in which case, a video converter will get it down to a slightly smaller size.

When it's a normal video format like .avi, it sizes it in minutes. My DVDRs only take 120 minutes. I belie Iron Man was about 150 minutes.

hum... then i don't know how to help you. sorry.

Nero can convert it.

I think total video converter can also do it.

If you have a 360 or PS3, you can just burn it to a disk.

It might work just burning it to a disk with your DVD player as well, but not all (actually, very few) have that functionality.
