But, a couple things to think about: -You try to upgrade/downgrade, it will probably give you plenty of viruses. -Pictures this: Windows XP SP5 comes out. Contains critical data because a new hacker found out how to destroy your system and find out your home address. You can't download it. Downloading an unmodified version of windows xp from a torrent is NOT illeagle as you dont pay for the media but the license. You could download an unmodified version and use the 30 day trial untill you come by a shop and buy a copy. But make sure you download the right version home/pro/retail/oem. If you didn't want to buy it, I'm sure there are illegal copies floating around out there but they're going to be shared copies which means they could contain viruses and a lot more that you'd be downloading to your computer.
