I was only going to leave my iPod plugged into the Mac and play my music through it but if I can't, then I'm not sure what my options are? Odd as I've never been able to do such either on a PC or a Mac.  There's software that can transfer the music off of your iPod and add it to your iTunes library however?  Do you plan on using your Mac as your default music library now?
