Okay. My iPod Touch's original library is on a PC (Windows XP) but now I've just got a MacBook and I want to plug my iPod into it so that I can play what's on my iPod through iTunes on that one. I believe that iPods are allowed to be recognized by 5 computers - it said that my macbook is now the third one that my ipod is allowed to recognize. I clicked the name of my iPod, clicked on music, and saw the music on my iPod appear in iTunes but the problem is that it won't play. The text is faded and it won't let me click anything on the list. Why not? It worked on the second recognized computer, but that was my friend's laptop and it wasn't a Mac. Help?

I wasn't going to, no. I was only going to leave my iPod plugged into the Mac and play my music through it but if I can't, then I'm not sure what my options are?

I didn't think you could just transfer music off of the iPod to an iTunes library like that and play it?

Apparently you can because it did last time but for some reason my Mac won't let me do it now and I have no idea why. It shows me the list of music on my iPod just as it would in my normal library, the only thing is that it won't let me click anything.

Odd as I've never been able to do such either on a PC or a Mac.  There's software that can transfer the music off of your iPod and add it to your iTunes library however?  Do you plan on using your Mac as your default music library now?
