| You do not need iTunes. There are 3rd party applications that do the same basic transfering, Ephpod for one example. For getting music there are numerous ways to get safe music to get it, iTunes happens to be one of them. There are a few other ok programs to do it. Legally you will need to use applications that charge you for the music. Illegally speaking there are methods such as Limewire/Frostwire but there is the risk of infection. |

iTunes won't give you things like that! Get a mac and you wouldn't have to worry about it anyway! |

| iTunes is a valid product that is completely safe, and has no history of putting viruses on your computer. Everything done on iTunes is completely legal. It is official software for your iPod and they are necessary to run together. Do NOT put limewire on your computer, because a lot of the things done on Limewire aren't safe. You can get viruses from that. Once you have told this to your mother (I would show her what I said or something) and she allows it, please message me or post in this topic and I will help you out further. ~Shaun |

You can't put songs on your iPod without iTunes and there's not a very big chance people will hack into your computer as long as you've got a fire wall and shit like that. |
