for some reason, none of like the asio drivers i find will work for me. one day it was all working fine... then it just stopped... and now none of my midi stuff works with my pc. thoughts?

Uhhh, yes it does matter.  Vista drivers are completely different from other Windows drivers, and 32 bit drivers won't work on 64 bit platforms, and vice versa.

uhhhhh, xp, and, doesn't really matter... as, the asio driver is generally pretty generic.
