I'm trying to install windows onto my macbook. I've got the service pack as a .iso file (not an actual CD). What i've done is burned that onto a CD.
Then I used Bootcamp, which tells me to create a new partition (which I did) and insert the CD. I inserted the CD but it does not recognise this. Why?
How can I install windows onto my mac?
My friend has told me that I need to make sure the CD is a bootable CD, what does that mean and how can I make it that way?
Thanks.
But when you are burning the CD, in order to make it bootable, you need to burn it with a program that can burn .iso files. An .iso file is like a zip file - it is compressed. You need a program that can "unzip" it to the CD. I don't have a mac, but you can probably just do a google search for one (if you didn't do it correctly the first time).
It has to be a legit windows disk, either an original or a copy. A service pack?
