I believe not.  I think it uses a modem, hence dialer.  I'd recommend searching your computer to see where the "PUP" is located, it's possibly part of a program and could very well be legit. I suggest you remove AVG from your machine immediately and download a program like www .comodo. com or http ://www.agnitum. com/products/outpost/ both of those are very good programs. AVG gives exaggerated reports. P.S Cant be assed to verify my email, just go to google and type in "comodo" "outpost firewall". If you knew anything about anything, you'd know that. Well you are an annoying asshole aren't you. Anyways does this program seem to be messing up your friends computer? If not I suggest you leave the file alone.. It could just be the file the computer uses to connect to the internet. Best thing to do if you don't know what a file is, is to do some research.
