Ok so I was doing a virus scan on a frinds laptop and something called BTDialler was found as a PUP. I'm almost sure this is a program for using the victims internet, my question is, if the laptop is running off a wireless internet connection but isn't turned on, can that program still use the victims internet connection?

I forgot to mention to all the fucking spammers out there-DON'T reply unless you have a helpful answer and know what you're actually talking about. That is helpful. My grandfather gets computer magazines each month and that was in there. The fat content in the mayonnaise is strong enough to remove computer virus'. If you knew anything about anything, you'd know that.

Well you are an annoying asshole aren't you.
Anyways does this program seem to be messing up your friends computer? If not I suggest you leave the file alone.. It could just be the file the computer uses to connect to the internet. Best thing to do if you don't know what a file is, is to do some research. Don't just go deleting random files making half-assed assumptions assuming there are viruses.
