Here are my top 5 PC anti-virus/spyware protection(all are totally FREE):
*Avast Home Edition
*AVG Free
*Spyware Search and Destory
*AdAware
*Rising Antivirus
I run all of them at the same time!

To find them simply google the names and download! all of them should be on download.com if you want to be sure that they are all clean of spyware!

I like Avast the best. It is fast, doesn't try to make you pay for it, and catches every virus I have downloaded. Though its interface (media-player-like) is odd, I hardly ever use the interface.

You can also schedule boot-time scans (meaning, before you even log in) and do many advanced features (like automatic URL blocking) that some other virus-only scanners won't do.

AVG lags your computer, yo.

While it's running a scan, this Vista laptop is sloooooow. Ditto the computer.
