So i was on the norton forum thing asking if i could run the spybot search and destroy browser immunization and like a few people said they have run it and not had any problems.. lala just make sure tea timer is not on..

well someone said that spybot search and destroy is old technology or w.e..

but like if it's "old" then why isit the only program that i've found which actually stops most spyware even entering my PC.. like before i had the immunization on, even norton found 1 spyware, ad-ware found quiet a lot and so did spybot..

and now the immunization is on, norton finds no spyware, neither does spybot, and ad-aware occasionally finds about 1

another thing is, it seems that the browser immunization is really good at stopping spyware so why don't other companies copy it?

I'm running AVG and Spybot. No problems here aside from AVG's occasional failure to update

Spybot is old, but it's still one of the best.

honestly, don't take the word of Norton supporters seriously. Norton is shit software. It's quite possibly the wort available. In fact, I use AVG, which is free, and it works better than the entire Norton suite.

it's considered old cos a lot of commercial anti-spyware programs have eclipsed it. but generally, for everyday home use, it's great and it's free.

the best defense against spyware though, is safe browsing habits.
