Running any Antivirus will make the machine slower, Avast does not slow down computers too much. On my mom's computer it is installed and runs fine (2001 Computer).

ooh okiee i think ill try this =]
thanks alot!

kaspersky and nod32 both need license keys
and i dont know where to find them free
would avast make my laptop performance becomes slower?

Best two are NOD32 and Kaspersky.

Best free is Avast.  AVG lets too much shit in.

I prefer AVG and Spybot.

Free ones, AVG

Otherwise Norton. But it makes your 'puter slooooooow so I'd just go with AVG.

Get antispyware too. Spybot.
