I did and it showed a selection, one was McAfee, which I already have and use. So why is Windows telling me I need a new one and my computer isn't protected? It also said I shouldn't select another one as more than one anti-virus thing can mess with the computer.

Darkane Posted at 6:28 am on Jan. 4, 2009 Maybe it needs updating but if you're sure that you're sorted for it then go to Control Panel > Security Centre then on the sidebar click "Change the way security centre alerts me" and uncheck the one that's giving you the notification.
