The PK Posted at 12:13 pm on Oct. 28, 2005 Are you sure it's Norton blocking it or do you have the dodgy version of MSN 7.5 (a newer version was released about two weeks to fix a connection problem). To make sure you've norton figured correctly anyway, open to the main screen - click "Personal Firewall" along the left and then the "Configure" tab. On the new screen that pops up, click the "Programs" tab along the tab and scroll down to where you see "Microsoft MSN Messenger" in the programs list. Right click it with your mouse and select "Permit All". I yet again recomend the switch of programs, but this is only because I rate Norton along the lines of the devil that is Wal- Mart. May I also inquire as to how you are on now? penguincube Posted at 10:09 pm on Oct. 26, 2005 It worked up until yesterday, what would have changed?  There is nothing in options or whatever where I can choose what programs it lets connect to the Internet?  When I try to sign on norton says "Automatically created rules for MSN Messenger [OK]"  Can i change the "rules"?  Or find out why it set them the way it did? All of these are obtainable in the proffessional version if you don't mind doing some pira7ing..... Not that I would know how to do that! But if you are adament about keeping Norton, the Easiest way would be to contact them via email, or even phone, rather than looking through many options or manuals. Customer service usually isnt too bad. OR you could obtain another dialing number from MSN to connect to, if it is dial up and straight through MSN, which is my guess.
