| Boot in safe mode and run anti-vir scan/defender. Also run any others (ex. Spybot, CrapCleaner...) |

well there are firewalls u can download that will block viruses and pop ups like that, i got my dad to put some on my computer and now it runs freely without any interuption...
Ever heard of the saying "Closing the gate after the horse has bolted"? That's basically what you've suggested, How will a firewall help him when he already has shit on his computer? As suggested in previous posts, spyware removal tools are what you are after. Just a follow up to Roy's post, he didn't mean get all three of those anti virus programs, at least i hope he didn't.. or norton anti - virus, i think that's wot it's called...
NEVER use Norton. It sucks total ass. Download Spybot: Search & Destroy and run it. Then download AVG Free Edition and scan your whole computer. Next time you decide to use pirated software, use common sense and take precaution. (Edited by timize at 7:19 pm on June 14, 2006) |

| You can try downloading things like spybot S&D and adaware. Update and run antivirus programs. . . You can also download a program that I believe is called hijackThis and you can post logs on the internet and get help. |
