I just got some random pop-up after I went to this site from my computer and it asked if I wanted to download some DriveCleaner or somethin. I think it might be a virus or somethin like that. Did anyone else get that?

ok yah it was a pop-up disguised as a message from your computer their actually quite common

But I can usually tell the difference between the two. I've gotten a thousands. And usually you can click it on the toolbar butwith messages you usually can't.

If you say you can tell the difference between a message from your computer and a pop-up then it could be a virus. Like sometimes your computer might send a message stating that the NT/System Authority is going to shutdown your machine in 30 seconds thats most reasonably the case of a virus or a remote shutdown from another user. If you can state if you your browser open (Internet Explorer / Mozilla Firefox / Opera) whatever you use, then we'll probably able to tell you if its a virus or something.

And annoying, and there are a billion of them. They may say your computer has a virus, that it is from your computer, but they are full of bullshit. Try to ignore the things, better yet, get a good pop-up blocker. Those are nice.

if its a pop-up consider it a virus...

It wasn't really a pop-up. It was a message from my computer.

a general rule of thumb, is that if your not seeking it, and it appears, disregard it
