Help, ok, I'm pretty sure I have viruses on my computer, I'm in the process of getting Norton Anti-virus, does it work alright? I'm like freaking out, because I don't wanna kill my computer or anything like that, I just need to clean it and get rid of the viruses.

IMO

Kaspersky 7 > Avg/PC trends > Norton > Nothing > McAfee

I wouldn't waste your time with antivirus. Just wipe the hard drive and be done with it - antivirus software slows your computer down much more than a virus would.

Its not bad, but I'd get McAfee. It's amazing!!!!

I actually think Norton sucks...hope it works for you though :)

Well I don't think norton is very good to be quite honest so I got that a long time ago and got AVG : ) Which is good! It scans the computer and then puts the viruses in a vault.
Also...
I know this next thing im about to mention if for spyware..but..it will fix any problem! So it's quite good =/ Download the free edition of Spybot search + destroy from the internet.

It depends on which version of Norton you are using...if you buy Norton Internet Security, use the disc as a coaster...it's crap.

Most new viruses are quite nasty, and will actually screw stuff up when you try to scan.  I would download Avast (free, www.avast.com), and when you install it, select the "schedule boot scan" option.

I'm using Symantec which is like the same thing as Norton I think. Best virus system out there.
