at best buy when you buy a laptop they offer to make it faster and add norton anit virius for $129. does anyone know which anit virus they add? theres about 4 that range from $100-$30.

also how long does it take until you have to buy another anit virus?

Paying for Norton is a ripoff.  It doesn't work quite as well as some of the free ones out there.  All Norton did was screw up my computer, and was darn near impossible to completely uninstall.  Try Avast or AVG.  Both have excellent coverage, are easy to use, and are entirely free.

Whoa, 100+ for doing one or two everyday things and adding an antivirus.

Haha I see how these fucktards at best buy and circuit city are in business now.

Use AVG or Avast, they're free and amazing as the ones that cost money. I actually PREFER these two over 99% of other AV programs.

I am not sure which antivirus this add, but $100 for Norton is a rip off, you can get a much better Total Security or Internet Security with an Antivirus and much more for much less.

i think its norton internet protection

The two most common virus protection programs that they will add are Norton and McAfee. A recent addition to the base protection package is Windows Live OneCare. I'm not sure what the fourth is.
